About Dr. Ashendorf

Lee Ashendorf received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York. He completed his predoctoral internship at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, and his postdoctoral fellowship at the Bedford Massachusetts VA. After a brief stint in private practice, he returned to the Bedford VA and worked there for 8 years. He recently began a position as the director of Neuropsychology at the Worcester VA Clinic. He has been elected a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, and he was the recipient of the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society’s Edith Kaplan Award in 2015. He has 26 publications and recently completed a 6-year term as an associate editor of the Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology. He is chair of the Publications committee for the National Academy of Neuropsychology and of the scientific program and legacy awards committees for the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society. Along with David J. Libon and Rod Swenson, he co-edited the Oxford publication entitled “The Boston Process Approach to Neuropsychological Assessment."

Program Goals

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the history and basic tenets of the Process Approach

2. Apply process concepts to common neuropsychological measures and tools

3. Discuss new developments and future directions of the Process Approach
