    Dear NCNF Members,

I am contacting you with a unique opportunity to provide pro bono services to the local community. NCNF has been contacted by an Immigration Attorney, Laura Polstein, from a Non-profit Agency in Oakland, CA, who needs a Forensic Neuropsychological Assessment for an undocumented 18-year-old male, currently living in Stockton, CA. The young man is seeking asylum in the USA, and his Social Worker suspects that he has undiagnosed cognitive impairment. A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation and potential diagnoses can clarify this young person’s symptom presentation, as well as lead to appropriate services. In addition, the client’s multidisciplinary team (medical, legal, social services) is interested in pursuing further immigration rights that could be explained and appropriated by a qualifying disability. Although this client resides in Stockton, he is willing to travel to your office or clinic. Please feel free to contact Ms. Polstein (see below contact) if you would like further information and/or are interested in providing pro bono assessment services for this interesting case.

    Best Regards,

    Dave Hawkey, Psy.D.

    2015-2016 NCNF President Elect
